 Mechanical Engineer: Develop designs, specifications, 3D models, and drawings for the company’s wireless & telecommunications projects. Review project proposals, objectives, and technical information and evaluate the feasibility, functional requirements, and costs associated with projects. Collaborate with engineering and business teams to develop innovative solutions and design strategies for telecommunications systems such as underground communications, wireless antennas, traffic control devices, and mobile networks. Create detailed models, drawings, and visualizations, including elevations and equipment layouts, to meet specific project requirements. Prepare detailed engineering documentation including project plans, technical reports, and 3D models utilizing software programs such as AutoCAD. Collaborate with colleagues to review and refine designs, layouts, models, prototypes, and specifications and develop mechanical design improvements where necessary. Review engineering drawings, diagrams, and mechanical design specifications to identify and address potential design conflicts, safety concerns, and development challenges. Ensure that designs meet quality control standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. Support the research, development, and implementation of wireless telecommunications systems and devices by participating in mechanical design planning, resolving conflicts, and ensuring seamless integration with infrastructure and construction plans. Monitor project progress and recommend updates or adjustments as needed. Respond to technical inquiries regarding designs and provide support as necessary. Stay abreast of any changes made to safety, environmental, and communications regulations, and update clients with new information as needed.


Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. It requires skills and knowledge in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP and Bill of Materials Management, Quality Control, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma.
